Meditation simply and effectively helps us uncover an underlying peace and sense of well-being within ourselves. I practice and guide others in it using traditions that are thousands of years old. Although meditation has helped me on what can be called my spiritual path, I share my understanding of it in a way that helps others relax more deeply and contentedly in life.
Related to meditation is mindfulness, which simply means being able to be more present with what you are doing in life, not distracted by either the past or the future. Meditation could be seen then as another form of mindfulness, where one simply tries to be, focused on one point of attention, bringing attention back to that one point, to relax more deeply and contentedly in those moments.
I have led individuals and groups in both practices, finding over the years that I truly do get more peace and contentment in my own life whenever I try and genuinely be, not distracted by my own thoughts.
