Kali

I am drawn to Kali, for several reasons,
and she informs the work I do.

What does this mean exactly?
Kali may be as real to you as anything in life,
or she may just be interesting words on the screen.
I want to tell you more about who she is, where she comes from,
and what she means to others.

~

Kali, from my introduction to her, comes from Bengal in India.
She had a major influence on someone considered a saint in India,
during his lifetime in the 19th century. One of his followers came
to America to share of his teacher's words and understandings
and was also
influenced by Kali.

~

Kali creates, preserves, and destroys the universe,
each moment in time. She terrifies to liberate,
loves as a mother to welcome all,
and gives birth to each thought
and idea, a goddess,
a god's power.

She encompasses all range
of spiritual understanding.

She appears and loves,
and disappears

into mystery.

Kali empowers
through truth,
cutting away

delusion.

She is,
liberates.

Kali
loves

all.
